Dr. Amanda Henry, a native of Houston, Texas, has lived in Dallas and practiced at Highland Park Animal Hospital since 2007. She has been a partner at the practice since 2016.
Dr. Henry got her start in the industry at an early age and fell in love with helping pets. She is a two-time honors graduate of Texas A&M University receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 2003 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Dr. Henry is a member of the AVMA, TVMA and The Dallas County VMA. She is also Fear Free Certified.
Her professional interests are preventative health care and she has a strong foundation in disease prevention and detection. Dr. Henry believes that prevention is one of the most important ways to keep pets healthy and happy.
At home, she has five pets - Donny (dog), Walter (dog), Larry (dog) Jess (cat), and Coach (cat). In her free time, Dr. Henry enjoys watching college sports, traveling and spending time with her husband, Joel, friends and family.
