Job Description:
Canine Country Club and Wellness Center is looking for an experienced kennel technician looking to learn and develop your skills! We are a boarding, grooming and wellness center located in Dallas. We offer a training career path to become a veterinary technician with professional development programs, and in-house training. Position Summary and Details:
A kennel technician provides daily care, feeding, administering of medications, grooming and exercise of boarding and day service pets. The kennel technician interacts with clients in-person and sometimes over the phone. Our team members must pay close attention to details, understand and follow proper feeding and sanitation procedures, bathe pets of all sizes, monitor boarding guests, and much more. This position is fast-paced, high-energy, and requires an individual to be comfortable on their feet for the majority of the day.
Another sector of our boarding facility that is unique to us is the ability to assist doctors with routine exams, administer vaccines, help update patient files, check laboratory reports, and screen pets during intake procedures.

Requirements:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Professional animal handling: 1 year (Required)
- Able to lift patients and carry equipment up to 50 pounds; ability to lift guests or carry equipment over 50 pounds with assistance
- Endure sitting, standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods
- Take safety precautions for exposure to toxins, and drugs
