Eyes are very fragile, and it is difficult for pet owners to determine which issues are serious and which are not. Signs to watch for include cloudiness, discharge, squinting, pawing at the eye, redness, and reluctance to go into dark spaces.
Vision can be difficult to assess. Signs of vision loss include bumping into objects (especially in dim light), startling easily, reluctance to navigate stairs, and changes in confidence or behavior.
