Dr. Amanda Henry

Veterinarian

Dr. Amanda Henry, a native of Houston, Texas, has lived in Dallas and practiced at Highland Park Animal Hospital since 2007. She has been a partner at the practice since 2016.

Dr. Henry got her start in the industry at an early age and fell in love with helping pets. She is a two-time honors graduate of Texas A&M University receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 2003 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Dr. Henry is a member of the AVMA, TVMA and The Dallas County VMA. She is also Fear Free Certified.

Her professional interests are preventative health care and she has a strong foundation indisease prevention and detection. Dr. Henry believes that prevention is one of the most important ways to keep pets healthy and happy.

At home, she has five pets – Donny (dog), Walter (dog), Larry (dog), Jess (cat), and Coach (cat). In her free time, Dr. Henry enjoys watching college sports, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
